As our students approach the end of the school year, study for finals, and look forward to summer vacation, they are also working hard for the Manjari Annual Concert. Ever year, we put on a showcase for family and friends and it has become a wonderful occassion that students look forward to. The annual concert gives them a chance to perform in front of an audience and exhibit exciting new songs they’ve learned. We also host a special guest star for the second half of the program.
This year, the annual concert will be held on Saturday, June 7th at 10:30am.
The venue is Bharat Sevashram at 3490 Route 27, Kendall Park, NJ 08824. (Phone: 732-422-8880)
This event is open to anyone interested in Indian semi-classical music. The cost is $12 per person and this includes food. Please RSVP by May 24th to manjarinj@gmail.com.
In addition, our guest artist for this year’s concert is Indrajit Roy-Chowdhury, the legendary sitar player. Please find more information at his website: www.indrositar.com
As always, please contact manjarinj@gmail.com with any inquiries and questions.
In a couple of weeks, Manjari will host a unique event: a pure classical recital by two advanced students, Karizma and Mahasweta. This event will highlight classical music and allow the students to demonstrate raagas in their full splendor, something which is rarely done at a larger concert due to time constraints.
We would like to congratulate our student, Ananya Joshi, who received a 2400 on her SATs! Go Ananya!
We are so proud of all our students. Good luck to everyone on midterms! =)

Manjari next quarterly meeting will be held on 07/28/2013 at 3PM.

More Info on the special guest can be found at their website.
